In a heartwarming display of commitment to education and youth welfare, the Iyalode of Lagos, Chief Bintu-Fatima Tinubu through her Matriarch Foundation, distributed essential educational materials to students of Zumratul Islamiyyah Junior and Senior School in Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA. The event, which also featured an enlightening anti-drug abuse orientation by members of the National Drug and Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), was attended by distinguished dignitaries, including the LCDA Chairman, his cabinet members, and esteemed traditional leaders.

Anti-Drug Awareness Program by NDLEA:

In a proactive step towards addressing the menace of drug abuse among youth, members of the National Drug and Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) conducted an enlightening orientation session. They educated the students on the dangers of drug abuse, its consequences, and the importance of making informed choices to lead healthy lives.
The students listened with rapt attention as NDLEA representatives shared their expertise and real-life examples to drive home the message of staying away from illicit substances. The initiative aimed to equip these young minds with knowledge and awareness to resist the temptations of drug abuse.
The event was graced by prominent personalities, including the Chairman of the Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, Builder Olusesan Mayokun Daini who was ably represented by the Vice-Chairman, Hon. Okedina Maja Nuraini who reaffirmed the local government's commitment to supporting education and youth development. Members of the LCDA cabinet like the Council Manager, Mr Waheed Tijani, and Supervisors were also present, emphasizing the collaborative effort to uplift the community's educational standards.
Furthermore, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom , Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, the Iyalode of Igbogbo and the Iyalode of Surulere, esteemed traditional leaders in their own right, attended the event. Their presence added a touch of tradition and cultural significance to the proceedings, reinforcing the importance of preserving local heritage while embracing modern education.
The Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, as the traditional custodian of the land, extended his blessings and goodwill to the students and commended the Iyalode of Lagos for her thoughtful initiative.
