The Igbogbo-Baiyeku Legislative Arm in the early hours of Tuesday during their plenary session agreed to renamed the Market Street in Igbogbo in the name of the Executive Chairman. This decision, led by Council Leader Hon. Nurudeen Alimi, acknowledged the transformative leadership of Daini, whose visionary initiatives have reshaped the local council since his tenure began in 2017.

During a recent legislative session, the council members unanimously agreed to rename the historic Market Street as "Builder Olusesan Daini Street" in tribute to his relentless efforts to uplift the community. Alimi, praising Daini’s innovative approach, stated, “He is the driving force behind the re-architecture of our LCDA, and this recognition is long overdue.”

The renaming proposal gained traction after a heartfelt motion presented by Hon. Hakeem Solawon, who represents the ward (C2) where Market Street is located. Solawon commended Daini’s hands-on contributions, saying, “I’ve seen the evolution of this area firsthand, and it is all thanks to our Chairman’s unwavering dedication.”

Adding weight to the decision was the endorsement from Princess Adetutu Banjoko, Deputy Leader, who recalled High Chief Tajudeen Onasanya’s proposal at the last Ojude Oba festival. “The Odofin of Igbogbo Kingdom’s call to rename Market Street after Daini sparked joy among residents,” she recounted, a sentiment echoed by various community stakeholders.

The Majority Leader, Hon. Mathew Kolawole Arowolo, moved the motion with enthusiasm, emphasizing that Daini’s contributions to the council's development cannot be overlooked. The motion was seconded by Princess Banjoko, symbolizing widespread legislative and community support.

Daini’s leadership has seen Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA rise to new heights, fostering growth in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and economic development. His impact has been celebrated by many, including the first Executive Chairman of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, Hon. Jimoh Ogunmuyiwa, who lauded Daini for revitalizing Market Street and transforming the council’s prospects.

This historic decision is more than just a renaming; it is a permanent reminder of the lasting influence of Builder Olusesan Daini on the people and the future of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA. The unveiling of "Comrade Olusesan Daini Street" promises to become a symbol of hope and progress for generations to come.
