In a move to address a pressing road infrastructural challenge, the Executive Chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun, has facilitated the immediate intervention of HITECH Construction Company on the damaged Ojubode Junction linking Obafemi Awolowo Way
The intervention comes weeks after the chairman personally inspected the deteriorating section of the road at Ojubode Junction along Obafemi Awolowo Way, which had become a major source of concern for motorists and traders. Following delays in state-level response, the council leadership initiated direct engagement with HITECH, the contractor handling nearby projects, to ensure prompt remedial work.
Earlier this morning, heavy equipment and personnel from HITECH had mobilized to site, with preliminary grading and earthwork already underway. The rehabilitation, when completed, will significantly ease vehicular movement, enhance safety, and restore accessibility across the corridor.
Chairman Aroyewun said the move aligns with his administration’s GLORY Agenda, which prioritizes proactive governance and immediate response to community needs.
The ongoing rehabilitation by HITECH is expected to be completed soon, marking yet another milestone in the council’s consistent drive toward infrastructural renewal and livable community development.
