In the ongoing repair works on the Third Mainland Bridge by the Federal Ministry of Works, significant progress has been made on the island-bound section.
Beginning Thursday, February 22, 2024, traffic will be diverted through the Iyana Oworonshoki, Lagos Island-bound lane of the bridge.
This traffic diversion will remain in effect until the completion of the project. The Third Mainland Bridge will be open from the Mainland to the Island between 12 midnight and 12 noon, and from the Island to the Mainland between 1 pm and 12 midnight.
Motorists are commended for their patience and understanding during the rehabilitation works. The Commissioner for Transportation, Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi, urges cooperation with traffic management officials to ensure seamless mobility and minimize inconvenience.
