Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA celebrated its annual Tree Planting Day earlier today at the Council Secretariat, under the theme Nurture Our Future.
The Tree Planting Day was a successful step towards a more sustainable future, embodying the collective spirit of the community in nurturing the environment for generations to come.
Bldr. Olusesan Daini, the Executive Chairman, ably represented by the Hon. Nuraini Okedina-Maja, Vice-Chairman emphasized the importance of tree planting in combating climate change and ensuring a sustainable environment for future generations. He highlighted various initiatives undertaken by the LCDA to promote environmental conservation, including proposed establishment of green zones and community gardens.
The event also featured sessions on the benefits of trees and practical tips on tree care. The "Nurture Our Future" theme resonated strongly throughout the day, inspiring many to commit to ongoing environmental efforts.
