In a moving and deeply emotional ceremony, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA chapter, held a special Appreciation service today, July 3rd, 2025, in honor of Builder Mayokun Olusesan Daini for his outstanding performance as the Executive Chairman of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA.
The well-attended service took place at First Baptist Church, Igbogbo, located along Oba Omolaja Ogunlewe Road. The event drew leaders from various Christian denominations, community stakeholders, political figures, and residents who came together to express gratitude and admiration for the Chairman’s transformative leadership and unwavering commitment to community development.
The atmosphere was filled with warmth and reverence as the congregation, led by the CAN Chairman, Rev’d Ojo Joshua, showered encomiums on Bldr. Daini. Speaker after speaker highlighted his landmark projects, people-centered initiatives, and inclusive governance style, all of which have greatly elevated the standard of living in the LCDA.
It was a service not only of thanksgiving but also of reflection, punctuated by soul-lifting worship, prayers for continued wisdom, and testimonials from clergy and residents who have directly felt the impact of his administration. Emotions ran high as Daini, visibly touched by the outpouring of love and commendation, thanked the Christian community for the recognition, reaffirming his commitment to service and partnership with religious institutions for sustainable development.
Rev’d Ojo Joshua, in his welcome remarks, emphasized that the recognition was not political but spiritual, acknowledging a leader who has remained accessible, accountable, and intentional about the wellbeing of his people. “We believe it is only right to give honor to whom honor is due,” he said. “Chairman Daini has stood as a beacon of hope and responsible leadership, and we as a faith community are proud of his strides.”
The Appreciation Service was more than a ceremonial gathering; it was a strong statement of unity between faith-based organizations and public institutions in driving societal progress. As the curtains closed on the day’s program, one thing was clear: the legacy of Bldr. Mayokun Olusesan Daini is not only etched in infrastructure and policy but also in the hearts of the people he serves.
