Lagos East Senator Tokunbo Abiru Facilitates Major Infrastructure Boost in Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA

It was a moment of joy in Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA today as residents were filled with joy after multiple infrastructure projects were officially commissioned, all facilitated by the Distinguished Senator Mukhail Tokunbo Abiru, representing Lagos East Senatorial District. The projects mark another milestone in the senator’s track record of delivering impactful, community-centered development across his constituency.

The newly commissioned projects include the rehabilitation of Agunfoye Road, a key thoroughfare in the populated area, fully furnished and equipped Primary Health Centre in Igbe Laara and critical upgrades, rehabilitation and construction of block of classrooms in Methodist Primary School, Ibeshe, UAMC Primary School, Igbogbo, and Local Government Primary School in Igbe Laara. These initiatives are part of Senator Abiru’s broader legislative commitment to improving infrastructure, education, and quality of life for residents of Lagos East.

Present at the commissioning ceremony were top dignitaries including Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, Asiwaju of Igbogbo Kingdom and GAC member, Hon. Adebimpe Akinsola, Hon. Former commissioner for tourism, Prince Adesegun Ogunlewe, former HOS, all other Apex leaders in Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, Builder Olusesan Mayokun Daini, Executive Chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, CDC, CAN, and party faithfuls.  

Speaking at the event, Builder Daini commended the senator’s dedication: “Senator Tokunbo Abiru has continued to demonstrate what true representation means. These projects are lifelines for our people, especially our children and road users, and we are deeply grateful.”

The Primary Schools, now equipped with better facilities, is expected to enhance learning conditions for pupils, while the newly completed Agunfoye Road will improve transportation and ease economic activities for residents.

Community leaders and residents alike expressed profound gratitude for the senator’s intervention. Many highlighted that the projects not only address immediate needs but also align with long-term goals for development in the LCDA.

Senator Abiru, a technocrat-turned-lawmaker, has consistently channeled resources and influence into impactful constituency projects. His tenure in the Senate has been defined by a clear focus on education, infrastructure, healthcare, and youth empowerment which has earned him the Doing Good Senator.

As the commissioning wrapped up, there was a shared sense of renewed hope and trust in public service, with stakeholders urging continued support for the senator’s developmental agenda.
